I've spent decades in lending and leadership, and I still get the same charge out of a closing today that I did on my first one.

I run the residential branch at Massif Mortgage Group. My job comes down to two things: build a team of advisors who actually advise, and structure financing that fits the person across the table. First-time buyers, seasoned investors adding a rental, families moving up. Different files, same approach. Understand the goal, find the structure that gets there, and tell you the truth about the tradeoffs before you sign anything.

Credit is where I do some of my best work. A lot of the files I'm proudest of looked like a dead end somewhere else, until someone sat down and looked at the whole picture instead of just the score.

Home matters to me in a personal way. I grew up in Big Woods outside Longview in a trailer house that burned down when I was eight. That's a big part of why I serve on the board of Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County and on the City of Georgetown Housing Advisory Board. I'm also an alumnus of the Georgetown Civic Leadership Academy and an advocate for Texas home equity reform, so veterans here get the same cash-out access they have in every other state.
